Shelfie: An Ongoing Exploration of Bookshelves
These shelves once belonged to my partner’s Great Aunt Dorey. For fifty years they lived in Northern Illinois in a Sears Roebuck Modern Home. From what I’ve been told, it’s a fine and sturdy house. My partner’s brother now lives there with his soon-to-be wife. After Dorey’s passing, my partner got the shelves. They traveled with us from Chicagoland to Madison, Wisconsin, then across the country to Portland, Oregon, where we now reside. Wherever we end up next, they’ll be sure to accompany us.
